LEARN THE TECHNIQUES OF A GENERAL ELECTRICIAN California Electrical Training, Inc will be providing lab classes to learn the techniques of a general journeymen electrician. Fees will include material used. The voice and data classes will include punch down tools for 66 and 110, crimp tool for RJ 45, and RJ 11, test kit, scissors, and cable strippers. Dont miss this class we will cover advance lighting controls and basic motor controls.
We are offering part of the advance lighting control class that is offered only to certified electricians. This course will cover basic lighting technology and hands on programming of lighting controls. This is our first class offered in advance lighting. Why do you need to understand lighting controls?
Title 24 Part 6 of California Building Codes requires lighting controls in buildings that require building permits. Most electricians do not understand the control portion only A/B switching which also has changed. If you have attended our motor control class it will be a review and more hands on

You are required to bring your 2008 National Electrical Code Book
in this two day course you will obtain knowledge on Cat3, Cat5, and Cat6 cabling. You will be issued your own tools and be instructed on installation. We will go over terminations RJ11, RG45, 66 and 110 blocks, also patch panels. By the end of the class you will have gained the knowledge, and tools required for all voice and data installation.

Hands on classes are open all our electrical trainees to increase their skills. Lab classes are approved by the DAS to fufill your required lab classes for electrical trainees.
Classes are only held on weekends. We have found that conducting evening classes, the average students only retains 15 minutes of educational material out of 3 hour evening course.

We will notify you of the next class scheduled, and fee. Remember these courses fill quickly and they have a limited enrollment. Upon completion you will receive a certificate for 16, 32 or 40 hours depending on the class (weekend class only) which is good towards your 32 hour of continuous education required by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
