Compare an Electrical Engineering Degree to Our Program

Electrical Engineer Degree  4 years of college cost exceeding $55,000.00. Drop out rate in colleges runs 60% or more. Starting salary for an electrical engineer is approximately $48,000.00 that is around $24.00 per hour. Electrical Trainee completing our 6 months program the starting salary is approximately $16.00+ per hour. When the electrical trainee acquires 8,000 hours of experience the electrical trainee will become an *certified state electrician. Prevail wage is approximately $37.17 per hour now.

Our school provides advance lighting control, building energy management, and introduction of photovoltaic systems, and the state required curriculum for electrical trainee. Other schools cover the state required curriculum for electrical trainees.

Fee for This Program

The fee is $19,000 for our six month program. The first 5 approved students will receive a scholarship from "Positive Energy Corp." for $7,000.00.

Why is it Important to Learn Lighting Controls, Building Energy Management, and Photovoltaic Systems

New California Building Codes Title 24 Energy Building code requires sophisticated lighting controls in order to acquire building permits. There are requirements for mechanical equipment to have energy controls which will be wired by electricians. There are more photovoltaic systems being installed in California that requires knowledge that most electricians don't have.   

California Electrical Training instructors are all state certified and several trainers for Advance Lighting Controls CALCTP.

Job Opportunities

It is estimated that there will be over $67 billions spent on energy controls in the next 10 years.

OUR PROGRAM
  • Must qualify to attend this course
  • Upon completion the student will be prepared to take the state examination for General Electrician. (they will not be certified until they have completed the required hours of experience set by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards
  • Main training will be on Advance Lighting Controls along with courses required by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
  • Review of Building Energy Management System - HVAC controls
  • Introduction to Photovoltaic Systems (solar)
  • Classes will be Monday through Thursday
  • Hours are from 07:00 to 16:00
  • The classes will be lectures and labs
  • There will be required weekend lab classes
  • Students will be issued school books, over $2,000.00 worth of hand-tools, foot-candle meters, and IPAD's
  • Upon completion student will have specific knowledge on lighting controls and Title 24 Part 6 non-residential lighting
  • These students will be trained to implement and commission lighting controls as well as overall understanding of electrical installation.
  • We expect to have contractors interview the students in the last month of the program.
 Fee: $19,000.00 - $7,000.00 scholarship from "Positive Energy Corporation" for the first 5 students
    • We do not have student loans
    • Scholarships are by electrical contractors and lighting control manufactures

CANCELLATION POLICY
 

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Pursuant to CEC 94822

Students must submit in writing a request for cancellation of the course and Refund of 100 % of the amount paid, less application fee of $100.00. if notice of cancellation is made prior to or on the first day of instruction.

All books and class room workbooks must be returned or there will be a charge as shown on Schedule of student charges, this amount will be deducted from your refund. Books purchased from others will not involve California Electrical Training.

 

Military personal that are called for active duty will receive 100% back of all charges when provided a copy of their activation from the military. The student will be accepted back with a 10% discount.


Tuition Refund Policy: Written Disclosure and Example pursuant to CEC 94823
: The institution shall provide a written statement containing its refund policy with examples of the application of the policy, to each student prior to signing the enrollment contract, and shall make its policy known to currently enrolled students.

Tuition Refund; Time for Payment pursuant to CEC 94824: Payment of refunds is to be made within 30 days of determination of student withdrawal.

A Statement of Non-participation in the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) for students enrolled in the License and Exam Preparation and Continuation Education Programs
