Learn how to take apart computers and rebuild the hardware. Understand the software programs that interface with the hardware. Once you complete the course you will be prepared to take the A+ certification examination.

 •     Install CPU, memory, power supply, and internal expansion cards
•     Troubleshoot system power
•     Install USB and Firewire devices
•     Select and install video cards and monitors
•     Install network interfaces and manage network connections
•     Configure BIOS settings
•     Format and partition hard disks; manage volumes
•     Configure a small wireless network and client wireless connections
•     Connect, configure, and troubleshoot printing
•     Configure password and account security
•     Configure BIOS security settings
•     Configure Windows Update
•     Use Windows backup and recovery options
•     Troubleshoot startup errors
•     Connect monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, and other peripheral devices

Information technology (IT) is concerned with technology to treat information. The acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of vocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by a microelectronics-based combination of computing and telecommunications are its main fields. The term in its modern sense first appeared in a 1958 article published in the Harvard Business Review, in which authors Leavitt and Whisler commented that "the new technology does not yet have a single established name. We shall call it information technology (IT).".] Some of the modern and emerging fields of Information technology are next generation web technologies, bioinformatics, cloud computing, global information systems, large scale knowledgebase’s, etc. Advancements are mainly driven in the field of computer science


Courses will start the first quarter of 2012. You must be interviewed to be accepted to our program.
